Community support from volunteers and donors will contribute invaluable resources towards cardiovascular disease prevention and research.
We need volunteers to help in all areas including health screenings,lectures, office support, fundraising activities, community events, public promotion, advertising, internet research, writing, editing and public speaking. Student Volunteers
The Service Learning Program at MiraCosta College in Oceanside, presented the Cardiovascular Disease Foundation with a Community Partnership Award on May 8, 2008. CVDF continues to support the Service Learning Program by providing students leadership and educational opportunities. MiraCosta students may contact Carol Wilkinson, the

Staff
Executive Director - Malinda Engerer, MBA
Malinda Engerer is the executive director and has been working in thehealthcare industry for over ten years. Her experience includes developing business plans and marketing for large integrated healthcare delivery systems. She received her B.H.S. (bachelor of health services) with a major in health administration from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, Florida and her M.B.A. in health care management from the University of Phoenix in San Diego, California. Malinda is a member of the Florida Atlantic University National Alumni Association, Association of Fundraising Professionals and the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Program Development Director - Tamara Urie, BS, ED
Tamara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from the State University of New York College of Arts & Science. She has a diverse background to include over 12 years of marketing and sales experience as a business owner, with over five years experience as a fundraiser, teacher, and artist supporting arts education. As Associate Producer and Co-Founder of Coyote Cavern Productions, she continues to manage and promote an after-school theater program, free to elementary and middle school children. She is a supporter of Kids Are Worth A Million, a member of the Carlsbad Friends of The Arts and of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.
Non-profit Consultant - Sandra Zeitzew, MBA
Sandra has over a dozen years of experience working with non-profit organizations as diverse as political action committees, public benefit agencies and arts and education organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in History along with a Certificate in Public Relations from UCLA. She earned her Masters in Business Administration in Non-Profit Management from the University of Judaism, concentrating in program studies that focus on the business of running a nonprofit organization; the marketing, fundraising, financing and accounting necessary to manage and create change within the nonprofit world.
